I loved the unusual colour of this iris, a lovely change from purple or white!

For some reason I can't get the small view to work, please look at the full view.

After seeing it on the screen I went away and changed (hopefully improved!) it, the colours are more accurate in this image too. Fingers crossed the small image will show this time...

Lovely and gorgeous,...the way you use watercolors amazes me. Do you use a combination of watercolor pencils and watersoluable crayons as well as watercolor paints? The technique is breathtaking.

*bowing I'm not worthy of such eye candy. How long does it usually take you to finish something like this? Do you do the background first? I'm just starting out doing watercolors and could you use some pointers if you have 'em. Please look at my newer gallery submissions if you have time. I think that I will try my hand at a flower as well.
